About Fresa's

Fresa's Chicken al Carbón is an Austin-owned drive-thru restaurant serving charcoal grilled, locally grown chickens, freshly prepared tortas, salads, sides, home-made ice creams, aguas frescas and choice beer & wine.

Our family-style meals feature the highest quality pasture raised birds. Marinated in achiote and freshly squeezed citrus or fresh oregano & cracked pepper, our chicken is grilled slow over hardwood charcoal and served with housemade tortillas, rice, beans, and fresh salsas.

Located in the former Back-in-a-Flash photo drive-thru on North Lamar, Fresa's was founded in 2012 and is run by Margaret Vera, Tracy Overath, Laura Sawicki and Rene Ortiz.
